I also subscribe to the Fun With Tubes group on Yahoo. One member there mentioned a company that makes extruded aluminum and stainless steel rectangular and circular cans. They offer a wide range of OD's and heights that might make them useful to replace missing IF cans and tube shields in the Scott Radio Laboratories radios. See:

I do not know what they charge for the sizes listed. One would have to contact them and get prices.

The thread on Fun With Tubes was in regard to making 455kHz IF transformers for home constructed AM & SW receivers. One person suggested using some of the chrome plated brass throat sleeves made for lavatories etc., which would not be the sizes used in the radios discussed here.
