The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

Two Roslyn AW/23's. The one on the left is a special order unit with only one side grill cut out.

Hello David, I bought the cabinet maybe 10 years ago from a guy I met at the Elgin Radiofest. I put a pointer dial chassis set in it but haven't really done much to restore it. Too many projects going on.

Merle - you have the only other Philly up-sized Tasman i am aware of, except the project example I happened into a few years ago. A very handsome cabinet with a Philharmonic.

the early version Roslyn when introduced for the AW-15 had grill on one side only, in addition to the normal front grill, as per Bruce's comment.

Merl-That's a nice line up BTW with the AW27, the 2 Roslyn's and finally on the left a RARE Tasman super sized for a Philly

The early Roslyn ads showed the speaker facing the side so you could listen to the radio with the doors closed. Apparently that option was not very popular. I have wondered if the side cutouts were on one side or both. Merl's radio seems to solve that mystery
