The easiest and quickest way is to go on ebay and find the Buy It Now listing for the book. That way, payment and shipping are all quickly handled.

If you are looking for something about Scott and you don't find it here, please ask me - I have a lot of material that is not yet scanned in to be placed online. And if you come across something I do not have, I would be very interested in obtaining high quality copies of the material for the archives.

Bret - Welcome to this Scott Enthusiasts site.

Your cabinet is not a recognized Scott cabinet. I would guess you cabinet as circa 1928-1930

Scott recommended the Super 12 as a good radio to update a nice older cabinet having an obsolete radio.

The Super 12 was introduced as a single chassis radio Sept 1938 with 4 control shafts and tuning shaft. Revised March 1939 moving the power transformer and 5V4 rectifier to a small outboard chassis power supply like you have. An owners manual is available in the INFO ARCHIVE on this Scott site in SET FOLDERS. The pair of 6V6 output tubes remained on the tuner chassis. The Super 12 production ended March 1940 with the introduction of the 14 tube Scott Masterpiece having a 3 tube amp and other changes.

Incidentally, your Super 12 is very late production - signified by having 2 additional controls (rare). I have the same version with the additional two controls. There was a one page addendum for the owners manual naming it "Improved Super XII". The bottom left control is a radio/phono switch. The bottom right control varies sensitivity. Also the rectifier tube was up graded to a 5U4 (assuming your 1 tube power supply is still the one that came with the receiver).
Bret -

Bret -

Glad to meet you and know you got several of the sets from the Sargeant auction last weekend.

That is not a Scott cabinet. From the design and structure, it was a much earlier cabinet, probably originally held a crank phono with a horn speaker in the lower part of the cabinet. So I'd vote for a Victor phono cabinet from the teens or early 20s. Someone made a decent face for the set when they put it in there. The Super XII is a pretty scarce set, so even in that…
