The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

Hello,

Looking for a photo of scratch suppressor switch on a remote control unit. Tried to install a scratch suppressor switch from a non-remote unit and there are gears in the way.

Thanks in advance

The scratch suppressor switch on my remote control Philharmonic is a low profile rotary switch rather than the usual push-pull type switch.

Norman

Would you tell me the style of knob that is used for the low profile rotary switch?

John - I have a small rotary toggle switch from a junker Scott Masterpiece parts set.

Looks to be much like Norman's photo. Shaft will extend 1 7/8 inch from the front of the chassis apron.

Will fit to avoid those tuning gears -  I checked it on the remote control BOL chassis on my workbench.

But is the shaft length long enough?- may be close.

Would work with the kind of knob that recesses into the cabinet a bit on the shaft.

Just shot it with spray contact cleaner and functions Ok with a meter.
