Thanks Thomas ;-)
Any good ceramic cartridge that can play LP's and 78's should work fine. Anything you can find will probably be 'new old stock', meaning that it has been on someone's shelf for a long time. Most American record players use cartridges with .5 inch mounting centers. Some use a 'fllipover' style that has a spring loaded shaft that goes thru the front of the arm. Tracking force for these changers is measured in grams, most needing at least 2 to 3 grams for proper tracking. Some require more, and some have an adjustment screw to set the weight. Webcor was one of the better manufacturers of the time. I have had mine since I was about 9 or 10. The idler wheel can still be rebuilt or replaced, at least here in the US. Not sure what is available where you are.
Continuation of comments: .5 inches translates to about 1.2 centimeters? A brand that might be available isTetrad.
Companies like Astatic, Ronette and Electro Voice are long out of business here in the US, but, as I said in the first part, a lot of these are still available. You can find them on ebay and on other sites as well.
Thanks.I ignore if it works or not. What cardtrige is a good candidate to replace the original one?
I made pics if this help.
Regards.
carlos
I have the same basic record changer, but only as a 78 player.
