Philharmonic BOL Deluxe Selectivity Control

If anyone can look at the underside of a red-band Philharmonic Deluxe, I need to know where the switches and the variable capacitors should be at each end of the rotation. After recapping, I realized this set has been played with and I do not believe the shaft is properly aligned with the control. Any assistance would be appreciated!

BTW - this is not the same as a pointer dial set - the Deluxe has an extra wafer switch on the shaft - so hopefully someone has another Deluxe BOL to examine.

So, last question - the meter I used to use is no more. The lowest ranging meter I currently have is 100uA, which doesn't get a reading for the alignment. What meter do you all use for alignments?

The alignment guide I prepared follows the Scott instructions but presents the procedure much more clearly.  The guide was prepared for the pointer dial set but is applicable for the later models with minor changes such as placing the output meter in front of the capacitor leading to the end of the volume control instead of at the end of the volume control.  A VTVM will work fine for the output meter but remember to keep the input signal just low enough to observe a distinct peak.

One last question....when you do an alignment on a Philly, do you follow Scott's instructions completely? If so, what meter do you use to get the very low (uA) level needed for this? Or do you have a different procedure? The meter I use barely reads low enough to do a good alignment, so I'm curious how others do this...thanks! BTW - set appears to be functioning reasonably well. During a first run this morning, one of the reformed original filter caps fizzed out. I'll just leave them in place physically and replace all underneath at this point.

Thanks all - with what was given here, I'm about 98% sure I've got it back in order. I hope to find time this weekend to do the alignment on it, that will tell me for sure if it is correct. The variable bandpass caps are now set up as Norman noted and the radio/phono switch is right too (phono clockwise). I'm only worried about the placement of the other wafer switch, but I compared it to a parts chassis I have here, and it looks good too...thanks everyone!

Come to think of it, that switch does have a collar on it.  Still, easy enough to see when phono engages.

When you turn the selectivity knob fully clockwise, it should then be in phono position.  Easy enough to determine if it is landing there.  The only way that switch would be off would be if the shaft was rotated 180 degrees because there is no collar for the wafer switch but rather the wafer is constrained by the flats of the shaft.  

I packed up my red dial just the other day getting ready for my move in Spring.  That front switch in question was leaky on my set and putting about 75v on the top of the volume control.  I just disconnected and bypassed the screen voltage that is switched thru it.  This particular set of mine is an aggravating one....lots of crazy little things.

Unfortunately my parts chassis only had one wafer switch.  Had!  Someone removed the wafer hence it now has none.  Remove the set screws and inspect the shaft for set screw marks identifying the position.

Thanks - that's a huge help to confirm. Regarding the switches - the one closest to the front - the set screw was loose and the shaft could move without the switch moving, so I have no idea where it needs to align - so I do need info on the switches, but I may be able to tell from the schematics on those...I don't trust either one given the one being loose.
