I have questions about my 7-knob BOL Philly with Robot Control

I am starting this discussion because I have questions about my Philharmonic as I embark on a quest to restore it to optimum performance.I have included pics of the dial and knobs. Other than what I have found on this forum, is there any documented restoration of the robot control? Wiring diagrams or schematics?Does anyone have any pictures of their push/pull scratch suppressor switch and it's related shaft/knob? Mine has a rotary on/off switch and the knob configuration makes it rather awkward…See More

"Thank you, David. I will do that so others may see this. It's just a neat radio that I have wanted for many years and am now enjoying the beginning of my restoration. It appears as though the power supply was updated with capacitor replacement…"

"Scott, my Philly is a bit odd in the knob count. It appears it was a 7-knob set but has an additional knob directly below the tuning knob, making it an 8-knob set. I'm not sure what it's purpose is but I am certain I will understand more…"

Getting started on my Philharmonic

Is Kent King still keeping track of serial numbers? He may have mine since I obtained it from fellow collector Alex Whitaker. Where could I find the best service info for my Philharmonic BOL non-logging scale dial ? It has a remote with motorized tuning and what I believe may be motorized volume? Anyhow, thanks for letting me join a few years ago and am looking forward to getting reacquainted with the hobby since I have been adjusting to retirement.

What cabinet do you have?

The Archive Info (top of page) would take you to the set folders where you will find Philharmonic folder. In addition to owners manual, there is a separate item for ROBOT control with specifics for your remote control option radio.
