Yep, I'm up to speed on all that you've mentioned. Right now I have new electrolytics jumpered in temporarily for those three. No difference. If I turn the volume up 3/4 I can hear some poor audio. If I remove all 3 of them from the circuit, there's no change! The other electrolytics are in a can on top. Those would be more trouble and I still don't what the problem is LOL. I'll ask at ARF.

I won't be able to order the manual until Monday, in the meantime I variac'ed this thing up and at first I had noise. So I checked all of the tubes for fun and then this time I had perfect humless AM. There's nothing on SW. Switching back to AM, there's noise again. I notice that one of the 20uF 450V cans underneath (there's 3 in a row) is very hot to the touch. So I slide it out of the holder to lose the ground connection and I jumper in a new filter. No difference, so I put it back. Now another one is very hot. Same procedure. This one has no effect when totally removed from circuit. The big filter reactors on top have good resistance. What does this sound like to you? (I have a 500 ohm Hallicrafters speaker hooked up to the 600 ohm connection.)
