HI everybody,

My name is Pat and I have been a collector for many years.  Just now getting into E F Scott and these wonderful machines.  I'm a EE in avionics but also worked as a tech for 12 years.  Looking forward to bringing up a 16a that is now on our dining room table.  Chrome is fair to poor - and I wondering if I should do anything right away to stop or slow down the Cr wasting process.

thanks to all, happy to be here

Pat

Pat - Welcome!!

Cleaning the chassis thoroughly will help slow the process. Keeping the sets in "good" environments also helps. If you place them in storage, I've known folks to rub the clean chassis down with a protective polish or other agent (even WD-40).

If you haven't noticed, go up to the "Scott Info Archive" link above and it should give you folders for sets...you can get lots of info on the 16A there.

Good luck!

Kent
