The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

EH Scott and Garrard turntable

I found this beauty at an estate sale. I am looking for any information I can find about it...and value. Radio and turntable need to be cleaned up and connected and tested. Missing the speakers but I do have the remote controls. Cabinet is massive and impressive. Weighs perhaps 300 lbs. Inlay work is stunning. Very little damage to the veneer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am certain that you will receive many offers. I'd like to know the final price - probably all would. Personally it would be irresponsible for me to take this on right now. I literally have a warehouse full of projects and parts, including some rare Scotts: The Philly I mentioned, several 800bs, an 800bt, an export. I just can't, really. Good luck with it though.

BTW Uship.com is a way to move this.

It takes a lot to make me log in, but this is the most astounding set that I have seen in a long time. That appears to be a completely custom but professionally designed cabinet. It is not a repurposed Capehart, nor a GE, nor a Brunswick, nor an RCA. The Philharmonic with remote is very, very rare. Of course the two remote sender units that you picture are themselves worth thousands - especially if they are prewar.

I have a remote FM Philharmonic that is on my bucket list. Yours is worth the same treatment that I intend for mine - complete rechrome and stuffed caps. The tt is also worthy of mechanical clean and lube. It should perform well. Won't you consider to photograph your restoration thoroughly, and post it?

Bests,
