The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

On the 800B service information I have there is a notation on the Late version schematic of the power supply chassis that says T8 audio output transformer (normally P/N 91B664) can be replaced by  a number 621916. This is a had written notation which says "Replacement audio output transformer  M--. I can't make out the characters after the M. The part number does not appear to be an E H Scott part number sequence.

I see from inspecting the original transformer that is on my Early 800B that it was made by Stancor. There is a Stancor name stamped into the metal case on two sides. Was there a Stancor replacement available under one of their standard part numbers?

I see that the Metropolitan 16A uses a different output transformer, P/N 91C2699 which can be replaced by:

Stancor A-3800 (may have to drill holes)

Thordarson T22S701

Merit  A-3131 (may have to drill holes)

Those alternate replacement transformers were listed in the Sam's Set 40, folder 18.

Can someone provide more details?

Thanks in advance.

Joe
