The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
In looking at the schematics for the E H Scott 800B, I note that when rotary wafer switches are illustrated that the shaft is shown with the lower flat side having a round projection that identifies the way the shaft is oriented at assembly. I do not see any numbers associated with the individual contact connection lugs. There is no indication of which pin might be considered pin number 1 and which direction to count the other lugs. The counting could be either clockwise or counter clockwise. It also would depend upon the orientation of the viewer with respect to the chassis. I think in most cases it is customary to view such items from the rear of the chassis with the bottom cover removed and the bottom of the chassis rotated to be on top.
Can anyone explain E H Scott's convention for their rotary switches?
Are there any other manufacturer specific things I should know about E H Scott schematics?
Thanks in advance.
Joe
