The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

I thought I was finished working on my FM Phantom Deluxe but while bench testing it I found that the sensitivity control was flaky and needed to be replaced.  Looking at the schematic I quick got confused.  The value in the schematic is 2000 ohms, and nowhere do I find the switch that is part of the switch.  When I look at the schematic for the AM Phantom it shows the sensitivity switch, but not the resistance. When I checked the value of the control in the radio now it reads fully counter clockwise 110 ohms, but jumps to as much as 390 ohms. With the switch made, and the control fully counter clockwise it reads almost 4500 ohms, not 2000.Does anyone know what the value of that this pot needs to be, and it I need a linear or audio taper?  Thank you...
