Thanks to everyone who kindly provided answers and directions.  The 800-B is working beautifully!  Special thanks for the creators of the volume and tone control mods!

I will look into the possibility of a signal seeking mod using the present drive motor.  Here is a patent for a control system using only the tubes already in the receiver if others are interested in the possibilities.

I am looking for a Philharmonic and amp complete ( no missing components that cannot be replaced,  good transformers and coils, chokes, etc.) with nice chrome.  Original speaker not necessary but plug would be nice.

I have  a couple 800-B  receiver chassis and an amp chassis to trade and  maybe somethings else of interest around the house that I have collected over the years.

If there is a complete chassis spread amongst several of you fellas or gals, that might work too.
