All except two of the tube shields are there. I like the way the cabinet top locks in place so nicely ... now all I need is a hydraulic descent device ... just kidding.

Very nice! It just goes to show how incomplete our records are. By the way, the Philharmonic fits easily in the cabinet with room to spare on each side.

Looks like the Buckingham was indeed available with the Philharmonic. I have some original brochures that said otherwise but here is one on ebay and it clearly lists this cabinet:

David; that is cool! I guess it would not take much; a cylinder, a push rod, a small piston, and a felt gasket. Have you posted a photo of the mechanism?

Actually , the late 1920's Victor Credenza cabinet that houses my Philly has a pair of door closers that lets the top down with a gentle woosh. - Dave
