The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
This is another radio that a friend sent my way. I include it here because I have read that one of the designers was Marvin Hobbs , former chief engineer for Scott.
My friend got this from a chief engineer for a Boston TV station. That man (he can't recall his name) told him that this radio was owned by the president of M.I.T. RCA gave it to the president as a gift. Can anyone here corroborate this story and provide additional details?

I'm still stuck on reviving an RCA 811-K that decided to quit after I gave it to my daughter and her husband. It will be winter before I get serious on this. So many radios, so little time (or skill in my case).
That's very interesting, Ken. That should be a nice project for the next couple of months!
