Yes - I was aware the eyes are obscured by the overhead trim.

Actually both eye tubes are in their original place above the dial but not visible in my photo due to an overhang of the top lid. I have to stoop down a bit to see them when tuning. The insides of the doors are prettier than the froms due to very nice inlays of detail trim. Thank you for the kind words also

Such a nice cabinet. Wonder if you could relocate the eyes if there is room at the far left and right. Make extension sockets with 6 wire cable and a couple 6 pin tube bases to plug into set's eye sockets so as to avoid modifications.
