It is in original condition. Yes, rechroming is a crap shoot...you don't know whether to trust shops with small pieces like these anymore...

Brad, did you have this Philharmonic re-chromed or did you find it in this condition? I'm looking at the coil shields. I need to get my 16's shields re-chromed but don't dare.
