The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
My main hobby is the restoration of vintage radio receivers - from the 1920's through 1960's - along with associated electronic equipment. I trained in a radio/TV/HiFi store service dept. before heading to university and a career in geology/engineering in the UK and Canada. I retired around 5 years ago and have focused much more on refurbishing and restoring vintage radios, both domestic and communications sets. I don't own a Scott radio, but I am currently (June 2022) working on a Scott Allwave 15 that belongs to a nephew of EH Scott. I am the current President of the Canadian Vintage Radio Society and a Director of the SPARC radio museum, Coquitlam, BC. ! hold ham radio callsigns VE7GUH in Canada and G8GUH in the UK.
