The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
I am just getting back into vintage radio as a hobby after a 50 year hiatus (very involved as a youngster, but had no time for it when I went off to college),. I recently acquired 3 Scott radios. One in great working condition, one marginally works but needs recapping and alignment, and the 3rd is currently a basket case for which I am pursuing missing components. Look forward to participating in your group.

The top production models, based on serial numbers are (in order): AW23, AW12, AW15, Phantom, Philharmonic Sixteen and then down from there. While these are "higher production" models by Scott standards, remember that Scott only built about 25,000 classic chrome sets in total....a "small batch" run for Philco or RCA. So for your Phantom for example, Scott only built just over 3100 Phantom sets. While over 200 are known, I would hardly call them a "common" set. Thanks for the numbers!
Fuirther to my s/n message. I believe these are among the more common (higher production) models.
One is an Allwave 15, S/N H-294, another a Phantom 19 tube, s/n SS-167, and I do not have ready access to the Allwave 12. Let you know the s/n when I next have access.
Welcome Kevin! I would really appreciate getting the serial numbers on the Scott sets you have. Every number I get helps fill out our knowledge about numbers produced, dates, etc. Feel free to post needs, questions, whatever here....
