The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
I have just been given a Scott 800B. It's all complete except for the tuning motor which was removed for some reason. I was wondering if someone might have one on a parts chassis that they would part with?
Thanks, Mike

Mike;
I sent you a private message. I will send you another with my e-mail address and phone no. so we can get in touch.
Joe
Joe,
No problem. I'm in no hurry. We'll get it worked out. Just let me know.
Mike
Mike;
OK, however, I am recovering from an illness and it depends on how I feel toward the weekend.
Joe
Joe,
When you come to Mesquite you pass close by. I could meet you at LBJ and Oates Dr. at the EXXON station. Just let me know when.
Mike
Mike;
Let me make sure the motor is OK first. I would say perhaps $15 which would take care of gas to drive down there. I used to live in Garland and worked for RCA Service Co. making service calls all over Dallas Co. I could meet you perhaps 1/2 way, perhaps somewhere in Plano or Richardson. I have a friend near Princeton and we sometimes meet at the IHOP along US 75 in Plano for breakfast. I am a member of the Vintage Radio & Phonograph Society in Dallas but do not get to all their meetings. They have an auction and convention in Mesquite going Nov. 18-20 in the Mesquite Convention Center. I might go and we could meet there or near there. Let me know.
Joe
Hi Joe, I'm in the north east corner of Dallas in the Casa View area. How much do you want for it? Mike
Mike;
Tomorrow I plan to take a look at the tuning motor in the late model 800B radio/tuner/preamp parts chassis I acquired recently. I spent some time already looking at it to spot the differences between it and the early version of the 800B. The push-button tuning switches are different and the late version added K4 and K5 with some wiring differences. Fortunately the tuning motors are the same in both versions, so if the windings in the late version I now have are good I can pull it and ship it to you.
Where do you live? I am in Tioga, TX not too far from Oklahoma border.
Joe
Thanks Joe.
Mike;
I have an 800B coming to me for parts. The existing unit I have has its motor. If the one I get has one in good shape I would be glad to make it available to you.
Joe
