Scott Allwave 23 Dial Lens

The dial lens on my Scott allwave 23 has become faded and opaque and cracked and needs to be replaced. I see Radio daze has 3 different styles:

The one that most closely resembles the dial lens on it at present is described as being for the 5 knob model. However, mine is the 7 knob model (see photo). The other 2 are described as being for the 7 knob model, one clear and one frosted. So the question is, which one is correct for my radio? This radio was previously owned by another local collector who had done some restoration work on it, I acquired it from his estate, so it's unknown what he may have replaced.

Order the one like what you have -  the early version 4 color stripped dial insert - frosty white, blue, red, green.

The early 7 knob models in 1936 like yours continued to use the same version insert as the AW-15 and the 5 knob AW-23 of 1935. Your dial escutcheon (and lack of the 2nd antenna post) indicates you have an earlier 1936 model AW-23.

The mid-1936 changes included  with several advancements you do NOT have - such as:

- the new dial escutcheon with bubble magnifier for the new logging scale, and revised dial insert,

- the addition of the 2 nd antenna post in conjunction with the revised antenna circuit for twin lead antenna wires (replacing the need for the outboard antenna switch that previously came with the Scott double di-pole super antenna)
