Breaking up complete sets to sale

Sadly, there are two Scott Imperials on Ebay that have been broken apart and listed as components.  So what is the deal with this?  I always thought you could get more for a complete radio than one broken up?  Anyone else bothered by this practice?

I've stopped agonizing over whether to sell the extra Scott parts I've come across. I'm just eBayin' them! 

If I had a complete set I'd offer it! 

I put up the knobs from a Laureate so far, and I'm going to list the power supply and 35Z3 tube crossover. Hopefully it will be good news to someone trying to complete their set.
