Finally: A Philly!
I have landed my first Philharmonic -- a pointer dial in a Gothic Grande cabinet. I have posted one picture so far, will add others. Also, I will post the serial number tomorrow.
All in all, pretty good shape. It has a Gerard record changer, and came with a 78 RPM recording of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.
Appropriately, this Duesenburg of radios came from a man who owned a Duesenburg -- the estate of Glenn Pray, from the old pickle factory in Broken Arrow, OK. Glenn is the man who bought the Auburn-Cord-Duesenburg Company, which included all the parts from the original company's bankruptcy sale in 1938, plus the rights to the names. He made new Cords in Tulsa for a short time using thermoplastic bodies, Corvair engines and transaxles (a real FWD drive in 1965!). He also produced a number of Auburns using modern powertrains.
Radio goes on the bench tomorrow. Wish me luck!

What a wonderful find! I am very curious which model Garrard record changer is in the console and what other options may be included.

I could find no numbers or model description on the Garrard changer. Of course, the battery in my camera died, but I had a friend take some pictures, including pix of the changer. After he sends them to me, I will upload.
I could find no other options. There are no tweeters. IIRC, volume expansion was built in on this model, right?
During my next visit to the shop I will get the dimensions of the cabinet. But that won't be until after Thanksgiving. I'm heading for the VRPS auctions in Mesquite, TX, then to spend Thanksgiving week at my brother's place in Colorado, where I will pick up a Zenith console he has been holding for me. While at VRPS, I will be picking up a Scott Phantom Deluxe AM/FM with a working remote and Garrard changer in a Windsor cabinet. This radio was purchased from the Ralph Muchow estate. Also, I will be picking up a Wellington cabinet for an AW 23. Hope I can fit all that into my little SUV!
