The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

late 1930's/early 40's Scott grille cloth

I saw this Delco radio on ebay. I am not the owner of the radio or connected to the radio or seller. It is nicely styled, certainly of it's period.

Perhaps the first time I have seen what I think is the Scott Philharmonic grille cloth in another brand of radio. Perhaps the cabinet maker is one in the same.

I have seen the Scott pattern grill cloth on a Stewart Warner radio and a small amplifier both of which were made in the late 1930s. In both cases, the grill cloth had not been replaced.
