The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
I have been looking at this blog for several months with the intention of restoring a Scott Labs model 510 purchased new by my father sometime in the fifties. It was his pride and joy. But other activities and life in general keep getting in the way so I have decided to try to place it in a new home. It has a Jensen speaker and an unknown brand turntable for 33, 45 and 78 rpm records. The mahogany cabinet is scratched and worn but I believe it can be restored with some work by a careful craftsman. The starting point will be cleaning the inside of the unit as it has been stored for about twenty five years. Although the cabinet was designed to have a CRT, television was not available in the area of Texas where this unit was purchased. I am able to power up the radio and the turntable, but the tuning knob seems to be disconnected and all I get is static. Three photographs are attached.
I am located in Annapolis, MD, and my email is scottanned (at) verizon.net. I am open to any reasonable offer.

The turntable appears to be a Webcor (webster Chicago) model
Thanks for the info. SD
