EH Scott Radio Enthusiasts

The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

I received by donation a Scott Philharmonic Chassis 30 tubes. This radio was in a basement about 20 years ago and spoiled and dirty. I brought it home and as I did the other radios, began researching and analyzing it .I restored the chassis with DC source and out valves. I already sent to restore the speaker with a new coil with 550 and 950 ohms. Now I try to restore the main chassis but I have problems.
I ask aid about the location tubes and about the SEN. DIODE 6H6 tube. In scheme it has direct connection the two plates and the two cathodes, normal to this tube. However, in the chassis there are many original resistances welded between these terminals. Thank you!

Half of the 6H6 tube used for the sensitivity diode was wired for a Dickart noise suppressor.  This does not show in schematics.  I seem to recall seeing literature indicating that the Dickart noise suppressor was offered as an option but it appears to be in all AM Philharmonic tuner chassis.
