Frankenbulb? Someone made this bulb by soldering one bulb to the base of another.

It is the more probable.I did the same with the dials bulbs of an Saba 455 wk.Due the diameter of the original bulbe light are greater the working bulb I have disponible,so,I soldered to the new bulb the metal extremity of the old one...

I think the previous owner probably couldn't find the original lamp and tried to make one himself?

It is possible the previous owner do not find the original bayonet dial lamp?

And do not would to change the original dial system?

So,it make a "invention" workable?
