Thanks, Carlos. Today, we're doing some "reverse engineering" on my Scott Allwave 12 Deluxe.
In 1960, when I first got my Scott, the Wunderlich was bad. Unable to get a Wunderlich back then (and boy did I hunt) I modified the set to use a 27 as a 2nd detector, sacrificing AVC. I did use an Arcturus blue glass tube for esthetics. Having secured a new Wunderlich, we're switching things back to original.
