The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

I am sure its an original finish. If you saw it in person its not as nice as the photos show. There is crazing and cracks in the veneer and obvious deterioration in the original finish. It still presents nice enough to be in my living room as a Scott radio IMO.
Looks original finish to me, from what I can see from your photo.
Do you know if that is the original finish? Looks like it might be.
I have one of these and the chrome is 9/10, only problem is the cabinet needs refinishing.
Turns out this 30 tube pointer Philly was all recapped and tuned up by a previous owner. I ran it up on a variac today and it came alive at 80 volts and plays great. I even pulled in a Tenn SW station on a 5 inch antenna wire. 150 watts.
A rare cabinet. Is the up-sized TASMAN - a couple inches wider and taller and 6 inched deeper than the one frequently seen with an AW-23 of the mid 1930's. Available for awhile in 1937 for the Philharmonic, then evidently dropped. Same $30 price as the commonly seen WARRINGTON.
Nice!
