I also have a pair of these A12's in my McMurdo Masterpiece IV-One works as the woofer and the other is set up as a tweeter. Somehow it works and sounds very good. Bill Liers did all the work to make these work for me as my set was missing all the original speakers when I acquired it.

Felix:

Check the values of the field coils.  Unless these are identical, Jensen A12 speakers can have different values. The A12's that were used by Hammond in their tone cabinets have different values because of their use in the power supply of the amplifier.One has Hi value across the B+ line and 2nd has lower value in the grid/cathode circuit of the output tubes.  I have a pair of these from a Hammond tone cabinet from the '40's.
