I've been meaning to tell you how upset I was that you didn't win a ribbon for your AW23 at the HLARA Summer Sizzler. I was one of the judges, but because I had a radio entered in the console category, I was not allowed to participate or even listen in on the judging of that event. Afterwards, when I expressed my surprise that you did not win an award, I learned from one of the judges that they didn't really know what you had. When I told him that your Napier cabinet was one of the rarest and most desireable, he was quite surprised that it was actually a Scott cabinet. Apparently they thought you just put your tuning chassis on top of an ordinary speaker box. They also were not aware that all of that literature surrounding your radio was yours. I gave 'em a good talking to, but by that point the ribbons had been awarded and there was no going back.

I sure feel bad about it, especially after you hauled that heavy but heavenly radio all that way. I got burned once in a similar fashion, when the judges did not understand my entry nor take the time to read all the material I had prepared.
