I have three Scott sets and am looking to sell any or all of them. Buying all three will net the best price, of course. I will be making a long-distance move the end of the year and need to lessen the load, radio and otherwise. I will be living in a maritime climate and the salt air can't possibly be good for a pretty chrome-plated chassis. In no particular order they are:
AW 12 DeLuxe in an early Tasman cabinet. Chrome is excellent. I'm not really familiar with what standards are used, but I'd rate it at 95%. Cabinet is beautiful with the exception of some small damage to the fretwork on the grille. Working.
AW 12 2-dial in early Warrington cabinet. Not working, but original and complete except for a missing speaker cable. Speaker is original, too. Cabinet is in good condition with small areas of veneer damage at both rear corners of top and one missing half-round trim strip. The other trim strip is still there to use as a pattern. One of the prettiest cabinets IMHO. BC coils only. Original faceplate with escutcheon included.
AW 15 in Westminster cabinet. Complete and working. This chassis belongs in a museum. Chrome is 99%. Simply gorgeous.
I'm not going to assign prices at this time. And I don't have photos yet. If anyone's seriously interested in any of the above, you're welcome to email me at wfw at wfwhitaker dot com and we can discuss it. For now the radios and I are in Greensboro, NC.
