The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
My AM only, early, 30 tube, Philharmonic has the two "edge lighting" bulbs lighting the glass dial, which in my set appear to be older/vintage #44 bulbs. The six bulbs that "travel" with the pointer are a mix of #47 and #44 bulbs. I know the difference is in the current draw and the resulting brightness.
I understand the impact is not that significant to a transformer soucing current for 28 of the 30 tubes at 6.3 V, but what do you believe was the bulb type, #44 or #47, delivered with the radio from the factory.
Thank you for your replies,
Regards,
Igor
