high fidelity speaker set for am-fm gothic grand

I just purchased a very clean restored am-fm gothic grand and was curious about the hf speaker set that was included with it. After researching it, it appears there were 2 different sets, one with silver hf speakers and a crossover that had a separate 4 wire cable and  plug that connected on the back of the main chassis, and another that used black speakers and a different type of crossover with "doughnut style" coils without the separate 4 wire cable and  plug. I have attached pics of both styles of crossovers...could someone tell me which or if either are correct...? Riders lists both.

The donut style crossover is definitely correct for an AM/FM Philharmonic, but it may not be the only one that is correct.  I have 2 AM/FM Philly sets with that style. I also have silver 15" speaker (non-pedestal) with black tweeters for these sets. I do know that the black tweeters were the last version, and are probably correct for the AM/FM.  The silver PM tweeters are earlier.   If this is the set that just sold on E-bay, I am not familiar with those tweeters.  I have 3 early AM/FM sets, including a Phantom, and the tweeters are black, and all the same,  but of a different style.  But with Scott, anything could have happened, especially as the war was underway and production was winding down. They used what they had or could get.

There are probably other combinations that are original.

I am not familiar with the other crossover in your picture, but I am sure others here are.

yes this is the set that was just on ebay...apparently the other type of crossover has an additional 4 wire cable/plug that plugs into the 4 pin socket on the back of the main chassis, the manual I have indicates that it's purpose is to allow only fm and the phonograph to send output to the tweeters, the other style like the ones you and I have do not have the extra cable and plug. the speakers that came with mine are the large 15 inch and 2 black Jensen Q's of which the back is made of bakelite, I was told that they are extremely hard to find without damage. I have received the chassis and record changer and the cabinet is coming by moving van. I am extremely pleased so far and this set was well taken care of. I would say the chrome is a 9.5 out of 10, cloth wiring cables, plugs and accessories are pristine and look almost brand new. I have been looking for one of these for awhile and feel very lucky to have found this one, it has also been electrically restored as well....this past November I was also lucky enough to purchase an RCA trk-120 that was in very nice, "untouched condition as well...these 2 were the last items on my "bucket list"

Well, you did good Bill.  The seller is a member here and a great guy.  The price sure wasn't bad at all either.  I wish you good luck with it and look forward to a report once you get it together and working.

The Gothiic Grand is one of the most desirable cabinets and is uncommon. And the RC-50 and overall very good nicely restored chassis and all is superb. Your speakers look correct to me. Appear to be Jensen Q tweeters as usual.
Except for the tweeters, Scott usually supplied Magnavox speakers starting with the 1935 AW-23's up to World War II. Contrary to the ebay description, I think your 15 inch flange mount speaker is a Magnavox - looks exactly like the 15 inch Magnavox speaker with my Scott Laureate but without the basket mounted output transformer.
