Symphonic shipped from factory in mid-1936 for a custom installation should have 20 tubes according to the wiring diagram provided with the receiver but it actually came with the 21st tube - 6E5 - that was mounted above the dial.  The eye tube is positively factory installed.   \Is there another example of such chassis?  Thanks.

Nice find. Yes, I have an example of the Symphonic in my collection.  The Symphonic was initially offered without a tuning indicator but by June 1936 it was offered with a tuning meter.  I suspect that the tuning eye tube was offered shortly thereafter.
