The radio given to Al Green by Rudy Vallee was a Scott Allwave Fifteen or Ninteen housed in a Warwick Grande console.  To my knowledge there are three of the Warwick Grande consoles in collector captivity.  The one I am caring for was from New York but it was used as an accessory speaker cabinet for a Philharmonic setup owned by a Sawyer family (alleged heir to Kodak fortune?) and is not the Rudy Vallee console.  Based on this article we can now add Frank Johnson along with AC Haggstrom as a designer of cabinets housing EH Scott receivers.  It is interesting to learn that Rudy Vallee had some input to the design of the Warwick Grande cabinet.  It is also interesting to learn that five consoles were shipped to South Africa for housing Scott receivers.  What was the publication date of this article?
