The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

Scott Allwave Deluxe in Silver Westerly Grande Console, top open. This particular receiver was set up to play and cut records. Note the chrome weight to be added to the pickup for recording. Pre-grooved records were required for recording. The changer is an "Electromatic" manufactured by the Peter Dahl company (Singer sewing machines) and is missing the record magazine (a large ring that should be above the platter). Also, note the hinges on the left side of the phono board. Not visible is a pull near the front right corner of the board. The entire phono board is hinged to allow viewing of the chrome chassis. It is very likely that this set was featured in Scott's Chicago sales salon.

Bruce, Carlos: Thanks for your complements. Bruce, your comment reminded me that I forgot to include a photo of the silver Westerly Grande console with a standard Westerly console to give some perspective of size. I have now added the photo. Rich Kahnberg gets the credit for the silver finish.

Very Nice, Norman.

Thank you for sharing the photos. I have seen one of these in person in the wood finish and they are one of my favorites. Your restoration looks stunning.
