As you kow, I would like to sell this unit. Can you steer me in the right direction for that? If you were looking to sell...what would you do? How much would you ask for it? Where is the best venue to sell? Auction? Ebay? Thanks so much!
BTW as there are no mounting holes I do not think there were ever tweeters in this unit.

Marc - I understand....I'm married and in the process of building a new area just to house my Scott collection.
You are right, this set is a significant piece. Based on the serial number, I can tell you the set was built before Nov 19, 1937....probably early Nov of 37. If you have any documentation to confirm or negate my estimate, I'd love to know. Are the speakers missing or do you just have them out for moving the set?
I would love to obtain the set, restore it and have it in my collection, but with my "museum construction" project going on, I don't have the funds right now. Not to be discouraging, but the restoration of a Philharmonic remote control set is not for the faint of heart.
I am not surprised the cabinet has no markings, it is probably a custom cabinet, possibly done locally to the original owner. Do you have any more info on the lineage of the set?

I added more pics. could not find mfr. markings. the unit is 54 1/2 tall, 47 wide and 24 deep.

Thanks. I did not see any mfr. markings however I will look again more closely with a flashlight. At the end of the day I think the piece is very significant and belongs with a real collector so if you have any suggestions please let me know. I don't even know where to begin with repairing the radio and turntable. I will take some better pics of the back of the unit...might help. I am already a collector of trumpets so if I start a new hobby I will have to shoulder massive amounts of grief on my end. If you are married I am sure you understand! ;-)

Are there any manufacturers markings on the cabinet? Scott cabinets were mostly built by Rockford and Orinoco, but custom cabinets could have been done by most anyone. It is beautiful.
