Scott aw-15 speaker repair

"Ive  seen the bass mod. mine makes good bass as is I am afraid that too much bass with a 50+ year old speaker could damage the cone if it is brittle. Will let you know when the trimmer arrives. Thank you  Norman W."

"Yes - is repairable. There are 2 field coils. Strange they appear to be shorted to each other. I have had two AW- 15 speakers with bad B+ fields and had both rewound some years ago. The speaker is a special Jensen and well worth repairing. My cones…"

Garrard RC-30 or RC-50.  Both are very hard to find today. They had problems with expansion of pot metal early on and some that survived until the early 1950s were replaced with three speed changers.   The easier to find post war Garrard RC-60 looks almost identical to the RC-50 and has far less problems with pot metal distortion.
