Thanks, Carlos. Today, we're doing some "reverse engineering" on my Scott Allwave 12 Deluxe.
In 1960, when I first got my Scott, the Wunderlich was bad. Unable to get a Wunderlich back then (and boy did I hunt) I modified the set to use a 27 as a 2nd detector, sacrificing AVC. I did use an Arcturus blue glass tube for esthetics. Having secured a new Wunderlich, we're switching things back to original.

Oh Yes! I am a woman, trying desperately to learn about E.H.Scott's wonderful radios. My husband was a real nut about them and left me with 3 beautiful specimens. Now I have to learn all I can so I can sell them intelligently. I hope this board will help me. Thank you for the welcome note.
