The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

Question for the group regarding an AW 23 shadow meter.

When looking at my radio there appears to be a large shadow at the top of the window in addition to the meter. I think it is from the shadow box. Should this be observed?

Thanks

No - the meter housing should be adjusted so shadow is not visible on the multicolor dial insert. but the needle shadow should fall of the dial insert. The needle is tiny and rather short and may need a little careful adjustment to show on the dial insert.

Adjust the dial lamp and/or meter stalk as needed.

Thank you sir

My AW23 has the same issue, and for the life of me I can’t figure out a way to “adjust” either of the offending components. One would think there would be some sort of sliding mount, or even a readily bendable support, but both the meter and the bulb are quite rigidly (stubbornly, even) in place. What am I missing here?
