"replace the 1 meg resistor in both eye tube sockets.                   Modern I meg 1/4 watt resistors fit nicely"

"the 1 meg resister is really small, tucked into the socket between two of the pins. If you have never opened up an eye tube socket, make notes and sketch before you allow any of the pin sleeves come loose, which they are inclined to do."
