The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
I received a gift from a very good customer of mine, who was cleaning out his garage. A McMurdo Silver Masterpiece II...
Information on these seems hard to find. I am assuming it is a first variant, due to the "long" power supply chassis?
Where would I locate a schematic? I didn't see anything in Riders, nor any other U.S. schematics that I have.
I was able to get some history on the set; it originally came from Kamloops, British Columbia.

yep Brad. - a complete MP2. My price list shows cost 159.63. Either the 12 inch Jensen, same casting as the Scott AW12 pedestal - for for another $14 the larger Jensen 13 inch "Giant" version. Diagram were originally pasted inside the bottom plate of the receiver including alignment info. Not in Riders. Seven cabinet choices at extra cost (same as with Scott, but not same cabinets as Scott). Yours is the walnut finish 44"x 27" RALEIGH.
Two versions of this 12 tube radio: earlier used a pair of 2A3 outputs. Later 1934, changed to the hard to find 2B6 outputs, a quirky direct coupled power triod somewhat like the 6 volt 6N6-G. I have the early version diagram and some other info.
Early version with long amp like yours. Later is smaller amp and I have that diagram in an issue of Silver Times
Everything you wanted to know about the Masterpiece II...
