The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

Hi,

Looking for a band switch for my Allwave 15

I assume that the switch from a 12,15 or 23 will work

Let me know if anyone has one they would like to part with.....

Thanks

I'll try to attach a pic.  Lets see if I can do it right.

Jeff -

are you asking about the cast metal pointer? yes - the same cast metal pointer fits all 3 models. Some of the pointer knobs now exhibit pot metal rot, so, some have broken and the unbroken should be handled with care. There was a run of reproductions made in the 1990's , but I believe are no longer available

Or are you asking about the various parts of the entire band switch assembly? most parts are the same, except the coil wheel evolved in appearance and am unsure if the coils wheels are interchangeable between models. Also, the switch in the coil can above the gears also changed appearance from the 12, 15 and 23 models..

Caution, there is a procedure to follow if you even remove the coil wheel. To avoid jamming the mechanism and damage to the switch in the coil can over head, find the procedure in the technical data and follow the procedure.

Yes David,

The cast metal pointer.

That's what I am looking for.

Mine has the tip broken off and there is a huge crack running through the middle of it.  It still works but I was just throwing the dice to see if I could find one in a little better condition.

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes - pot metal rot. Perhaps several applications of super glue into the cracks may offer some strength meanwhile. First remove the pointer knob. You do not want to glue it onto the control shaft.
