800B with Wired Remote Option

There is currently an 800B radio-tuner chassis on eBay that has the very rare wired remote option. You can spot the removed cover plate in front of the 6J5 tubes and the volume control motor can be seen. For someone who wants one of these this would make a source of rare parts.

I took another look at one of my 800B radio tuner chassis and realize now that this was a false alert! The chrome cover plate over the volume control is actually there. The open space made me think it had been removed. I took a close look at the Late 800B tuner chassis and if I position myself to view the area with the same approximate angle as the camera that took this view was held, I see the same thing on my unit which does not have the wired remote volume control. Pictures can be deceiving.
