John - One just sold on  ebay. see  252129990358

The usual 15 inch Jensen for the 800B is the characteristic grey/blue color. Has a tweeter suspended inside the big 15 inch cone making it a coaxial. The early version big speaker has a field coil. The later looks just like it and but has  a permanent magnet  with a 600 or so ohm power resistor in place of the field coil and is backwards compatible - either version is suitable for an 800B. Note that the jones plug has a pin through (an interlock) of the ac in route to the main power switch relay - so the speaker is necessary to power up the radio. The early field coil version has a metal bell cover, while the PM version has a plastic cover the same color. The tweeter circuit is separate and functions in FM only - and maybe on phono as I recall.

do you know at what number did the start useing the pm speaker
