The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

Choke shown in pic had its red lead disconnected when I got the radio, and I cannot figure out where it goes.

Black lead from this choke connects to R6 which connected to C56.  I cannot find this cap or resistor on the schematic.  Which circuit is it in?

I have ID's everything in the pic, but text is a bit small...

This is a Philharmonic with no FM.  VR150 tube is located in front of chassis, not rear.

thx

Only sets I know of that have that metal canned capacitor on the center wall are the early dial pointers.  That would be L3 in my schematic.  And yes, my part numbers don't match the factory schematic.  I made up my own when I drew it.

The volume control on this set was replaced with one with no tap.  So I will leave this RLC series circuit out. and make a note inside the chassis.

Thanks so much for this clarification.

Leaving it out will affect bass response at low volumes. Ideally we should find you a tapped control and re-establish the circuit for best tone. I'll look to see if I have an extra control in my supplies.
