The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
I am interested in the serial numbers plus date stamps on the scarce post-war Scott Export receivers. The serial number is printed on a decal located on the right apron near the back of the receiver chassis. The date stamp is located on the dial backplate in the upper right corner looking at the receiver from the back. One listed on eBay at the time of this inquiry has a serial number of 401 and date stamp of May 8, 1947. Unfortunately the one in my collection has a torn decal bearing ?65 and almost non-existant, smudged date stamp of May ?? (I didn't even know it was there until seeing the one on eBay). Should anyone be interested in the chassis on eBay, here's a link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SCOTT-RADIO-LABS-RECEIVER-Tube-Radio-RARE-w...

Norman - I can add one more: #303 and date is 24-Apr-47. I've got two others (one is #695, the other has no decal...), neither of these has dates. So we have a difference of 98 sets over just 14 days...10 work days taking out the two weekends. 10 sets per day....
I hope some other can contribute some data to this.
