EH Scott Radio Enthusiasts

The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

Donley Auctions (www.donleyauctions.com) has a number of chassis/amp/speaker in an upcoming auction. I found it interesting that all the serial numbers were new to the database, so this might be from a "closet" collection that has remained off the radar for many years. This sale is 6/12-6/13.

Also, Estes has quite a few Scott's in a variety of nice cabinets at their next auction (6/15).

Many opportunities to pick up a new set for the collection in the next couple weeks.

Does anyone have a link to the completed auction prices?

I need to enter them, I got most of them...

I can see the completed prices at this link. You may need to sign in to auctionzip.

I messed with AuctionZip for 15-20 minutes, and couldn't figure out how to get the auction results, for some reason.  Thanks for posting this.

Wow! The really nice condition Allwave 23 in the Imperial Grande Cabinet went for a for $12,200 at the Cledis Estes Auction! Does anyone here have a read on how many of these surviving Imperial Grande Cabinets are currently accounted for?  https://www.auctionzip.com/auction-lot/eh-scott_A0046B894D?catalogR...

David - This was the 3rd one I have seen in person, and there are probably one or two others out there, but I'd say maybe 5 as a good working number...it is a very rare and extremely beautiful cabinet.

Thanks for getting back on this and for your post on this Kent! Was this auction well attended?

At Estes, some big spenders spent big. Some very nice Scotts offered !! many with very good chrome and some of the uncommon cabinets.

I was pleasantly surprise to buy a very nice late auction item, the AW-23 Gothic. Had a couple issues, but the prior electronic restoration work was very extensive and well done. I resolved the green dial band voltage regulator problem (more later) and replaced some RF wiring with crumbling insulation.
